Description
This is a chimney stack located beside the Red River, believed to be associated with a former arsenic refinery. It was likely built in the mid to late 19th century and is made of slurried brick. The chimney has a slender, tapered cylindrical shape divided into four stages, featuring annular bands and a moulded cornice. It is situated downstream from the South Crofty tin mine and was probably used in connection with tin streaming at this site. This chimney stack forms a loose group with another chimney stack located at SW 658 415.
