Description

The kitchen garden walls at Penrose Manor House, which are attached to the Laundry Cottages, date from the 18th century or early 19th century. They were built for John Rogers and underwent some remodelling and rebuilding in the late 19th century. The walls are constructed of Killas rubble with some granite dressings and feature scantle slate copings topped with red clay ridge tiles. They are tall and surround two linked square enclosures, with buttresses on the outside faces.
