Description

The kitchen garden walls at Penrice date from the 18th century. They are constructed of killas rubble on three sides and brick built in Flemish bond for about half of the eastern wall. The walls form a rectangular enclosure that connects to the house at its northeast corner. There are entrances in the center of the eastern and western walls. The main entrance on the eastern side features an elliptical arch, while the western entrance has a round brick arch. The walls create a complete circuit and have group value with the Penrice estate.
