Description

The Laurels is a 17th-century cottage located in Higher Porthpean, forming part of a village group of listed buildings. The original cottage is constructed of cob and is two storeys high, with three windows. The upper floor has modern casements. The ground floor has two small sash windows, one of which retains glazing bars. A central panelled and glazed door is accessed via a porch. The roof is slate-covered, with a brick gable facing the road. An early 19th-century two-storey section adjoins the cottage, featuring two sash windows with glazing bars and slate roofs with gable ends.
