Description
The Smugglers is a late 18th-century building located in Higher Porthpean. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and has two storeys with five sash windows that feature glazing bars, although most of the frames have been renewed. On the right side, there is a two-storey splayed bay. A large modern glazed porch leads to the central doorway, which has a wide six-panel door. The end wall facing the road includes two-light sashes with glazing bars and segmental arches with keyblocks. There is a projecting wing on the left, and the building is topped with a slate hipped roof. The Smugglers is part of a group of listed buildings in Higher Porthpean.
