Ladbrooke House, Including Garden Walls and Gate Piers at Approximately 25 Metres North East

Ladbroke House, including the garden walls and gate piers located approximately 25 metres northeast, is a house built in the 1840s for the Harvey family. The building features stuccoed walls and a hipped concrete tile roof with wide eaves and moulded plaster soffits. There are stuccoed chimneys with paired octagonal shafts positioned on the side walls towards the front left and rear right.

The house has a double depth plan with two equal reception rooms at the garden front. An axial entrance hall is located behind the right-hand room, leading to a bowed stair hall behind the left-hand room. There is likely a study behind the entrance hall and a kitchen behind the stair hall. Later extensions have been added to the rear, on the right and adjoining the left-hand side towards the back.

The exterior is two stories tall and displays similar stucco details on each elevation, including granite ashlar plinths and giant panelled plasters with Corinthian capitals flanking the front. The ground floor windows have moulded architraves with carved festoons above, and there are moulded sill bands and eaves entablature featuring a Greek key pattern on the garden front, with moulded soffits on the other elevations. The symmetrical northeast garden front has three windows and a central domed blind niche on the ground floor. The original windows throughout are 12-pane hornless sashes, except for slightly larger sashes with marginal panes on the ground floor left and right.

The symmetrical northwest entrance front also has three windows and a central doorway. The original six-panel door has later glazed top panels and an overlight. A distyle Corinthian porch with dentils on the entablature and an iron balustrade above is present, while the left-hand window is blind. The chimneys are positioned over the right-hand windows.

Inside, many original features remain, including marble chimney-pieces and moulded plaster ceiling cornices. The granite ashlar walls are topped with granite copings at the ogee-on-plan gateway, which is flanked by granite monolith piers.
