Description
The steps, walls, and bollards located at the road crossing to the former cattle market in Helston were likely constructed around 1861, coinciding with the road widening. They feature dressed granite steps, balustrade walls, and bollards. There is a wide flight of steps on each side leading up to the road, with chamfered piers (newels) and a balustrade. At the top of each flight of steps, there are three tapered, round-headed bollards. These features, along with other steps and walls in the area, significantly contribute to the character of this market town.
