Description
This mid-19th century town house is situated on a corner plot in Helston. The exterior is stuccoed over a rubble core, featuring a plinth, recessed architraves, a string course above the ground-floor arches, a sill string on the first floor, and a moulded eaves cornice that projects. It has a scantle slate roof with a hipped return to the left, along with a rendered stack towards the left, a shared 20th-century rebuilt brick stack on the right, and a brick stack at the rear left. The building's irregular corner-site plan includes a rear wing to the left, connected by a parallel return. The front elevation, facing nearly symmetrical with three windows, is towards the right. It has late 19th-century two-pane horned sash windows. A central doorway has a four-panel door, approached by three granite steps, and a spoked fanlight. The left-hand return features a two-window range plus a single-window wing set back on the left, all with similar detailing to the front. The interior remains uninspected.
