Description
Homeleigh is a house that possibly has origins in the 17th century but was remodeled in the 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a rag slate roof with gable ends. The house has brick stacks at the ends and a stone rubble lateral stack at the rear on the right. The original plan of the house is uncertain, but it consists of a main range with two rooms and a central entrance, heated by end stacks, along with outshot extensions at the rear. There is a small two-storey extension made of stone rubble set back on the right.
The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical front that has three windows. It features a 20th-century part-glazed door and two 20-pane horned sash windows on the ground floor, while the first floor has three 16-pane horned sash windows. The interior has not been inspected, but an internal inspection would be particularly useful for dating the building. Homeleigh is located on the north side of the village green.
