Description

The beeboles in the wall projecting from the north gable end of Pencrowd Farmhouse date from 1825. The wall is made of rubblestone and cob, with slate base projections. There are two tiers of three beeboles in the south-facing wall, which is part of the garden wall that projects from the right-hand gable end of the farmhouse. Each beebole measures approximately 17 inches by 18 inches by 19 inches, is quadrangular, and narrows at the top with a rounded back to the niches. These features are visible from a window of the house.
