Description
This guidepost, located 10 meters east of Moorlands, dates from around 1760. It is made of roughly cut granite and has an almost square section. Directions are inscribed on three faces of the post, featuring incised black painted upper case lettering without serifs. The inscriptions read: RED ST LAUN, GAT GER CES, E MA TON, NS. The Turnpike Act for roads leading to Launceston is dated 1760.
