Description
This guidepost, located to the northeast of Higher Trehane Farm, dates from the late 18th century and is made of granite. It has a square plan and features inscriptions in upper case lettering that provide directions to Padstow, Camelford, Stratton, and Launceston, the latter being spelled in an older form. The guidepost also includes a bench mark. The turnpike road act for roads leading into Launceston was passed in 1761.
