Description
The Sunday School, located to the east of the Church of St David, is a building that possibly dates to 1876 and was designed by the Launceston architect Charles Pearse Wise. This construction coincided with the restoration of the church, which was carried out by Hine of Plymouth. The building is made of snecked stone with rusticated granite quoins and features a slate roof with gable ends.
The overall plan of the Sunday School is rectangular, with the entrance positioned to the left of the front and wide central double doors. The exterior consists of two storeys and has a regular front with four windows. To the left, there is a four-centred dressed stone arch, with sliding plank double doors in the centre and a 19th-century two-light casement window to the right. The first floor includes four mullion and transom windows set within hipped half dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
