Description
This building is a bank barn located to the northwest of Haye Barton. It is possibly from the early 19th century and incorporates stonework from an earlier house that has since been demolished. The barn is constructed of rubblestone with large granite quoins at the right-hand corner and around the openings. It features a galvanized roof with a gable end on the left and a gable at the front on the right. The east front has two storeys. There is a stable plank door on the left, which is set beneath a timber lintel, and a small slit opening towards the gable end. On the right side, beneath the gable, there is another plank door under a reused hollow chamfered granite lintel. Rubblestone and granite steps lead up to higher ground at the side and rear. Additionally, there is a plank door in the right-hand side wall. This barn is included for its group value with the house.
