Small country house. Early C19. Incised stucco to garden front, otherwise Elvan rubble with snecks and granite dressings including granite ashlar plinth; scantle slate hipped roof with projecting eaves; stuccoed stacks; cast-iron ogee gutters. Square double-depth plan plus later extension on right. 2 storeys over basement; nearly symmetrical 3-window entrance front. Original 12-pane hornless sashes except for late C19 pilastered canted bay window with moulded cornice on right; central doorway with original 6-panel door and overlight with margin panes and distyle Doric porch. Other elevations with original windows except to left-hand return which has late C19 bay window on left and central half-domed niche. Symmetrical 3-window garden front has large late C19 conservatory with overlapping panes to original parts. INTERIOR retains most of its original features including: open-well open-string staircase with wreathed newel, panelled doors and shutters moulded plaster ceiling cornices; one marble chimneypiece and large fireplace in kitchen.
