Description
The gate piers and screen walls at Parkventon date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from elvan ashlar with granite copings. The gate and terminal piers are square in plan, made from monolithic granite, and topped with pyramidal caps. The walls are cyma on plan and positioned at an angle to the road. An old wooden gate features shaped heads on the stiles, a round-arched brace beneath the lock rail, and an arcade of pointed arches above.
