SX 25 NE MORVAL MORVAL

4/66 Outbuilding 8m to north west of - Morval House

GV II

Outbuilding now used as wood store. Circa mid C19. Stone rubble with slate roof with gable end on left and hipped end on right. Rectangular in plan with 2 entrances on front elevation and openings probably for loading to rear. Single-storey front elevation with 2 original horizontally planked doors with strap hinges in 4-centred dressed stone openings. Plank rectangular loading doors to rear. Interior with steps down to floor level which is about 0.7m below ground level. Simple partitions with little indication as to previous use of building. Scissor braced roof. Building stands about 8m to north west of service range of Morval House (qv).
