Description

This is a town house, likely dating from around 1809. It is constructed of granite ashlar with a stuccoed parapet and a natural slate roof, topped by brick end stacks. The house has a double-depth plan, with a central entrance hall situated between two front reception rooms. The building is two storeys high with a basement, and has a symmetrical three-window facade. The central doorway is round-headed, featuring a wide recessed, fluted architrave, a panelled door, and a fanlight. The windows are likely original hornless sashes with glazing bars, set under shallow segmental arches with projecting key blocks. A first-floor sill string and a moulded parapet cornice are also present. The interior was not inspected during the listing process. The property includes wrought-iron railings flanking the entrance bridge, returning beside the steps leading down to the left, and over the forecourt walls.
