Description

The chest tomb to the Oxenberry family, located 7 meters north of the Church of Saint Gerrans tower, dates back to 1759. It features a lid inscription dedicated to Elizabeth and John Eddy Oxenberry. The tomb is made of white limestone and has a rectangular shape. It stands on a base of slatestone rubble with slate slabs. Each side of the chest is adorned with a plinth and pilaster-like corner piers that flank panels with scalloped corners, topped by a lid that has cavetto and torus moulding.
