Description
This is a group of three headstones located 17 metres to the south-west of the tower of the Church of St Uda in St Tudy. The headstones date from 1736, 1766, and 1772.
The first headstone, from 1736, commemorates Agnes Jory and features a slate design with a shouldered round head. It is inscribed in upper and lower case lettering with serifs. The second headstone, dated 1766, is in memory of James Sleeman and has a slate construction with a shouldered segmental head. The third headstone, from 1772, also honors James Sleeman and is a slate rectangular headstone, inscribed with upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
