Description
Condurrow Cottage is an 18th-century cottage constructed from shale rubble, featuring a hipped thatched roof made of wheat reed and brick chimneys on the side walls. The building has a two-room plan and stands two storeys tall with two windows on the front. There is a central door that has been converted into a window. The left ground floor window is a two-light, 12-pane casement with heavy glazing bars, while the right window is an 8-pane casement. On the first floor, there is a 20th-century window to the left and a four-pane, two-light casement to the right. A small window on the first floor of the chimney wall overlooks the creek and was reportedly used as a navigation light. The rear of the cottage has 20th-century extensions. Inside, the cottage features chamfered ceiling joists, a Cornish cast iron range, and a copper.
