Description
This footbridge, built around 1853 by the Redruth and Chacewater Railway Company, spans a former railway line. It is made of wrought iron and features granite abutments. The design is very simple, consisting of slender H-section iron rails, likely originally intended for rolling stock, which are bolted to vertical supports to create protective railings on either side of a basic plank deck. The bridge is positioned above the track and is complemented by stone approach ramps that run parallel to it from the west, as well as an approach path on the south side.
