Description
No. 76 Lemon Street is a town house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1808. The front is rendered, with a roof concealed behind a dressed stone and stucco parapet, and there is a brick end stack on the right. The building has a double-depth plan that has been altered for the shop use. It stands three storeys high and features a two-window range. On the right side, there is a round-arched doorway with moulded imposts and a projecting keyblock, leading to a panelled door and a plain fanlight. The shop front is from the 20th century. The first floor retains original 12-pane hornless sash windows, while the second floor has a 20th-century window, all set beneath shallow segmental arches. The parapet cornice is rendered. The interior of the shop has been modernised and was not inspected otherwise.
