Description
Two tombchests, located 4 meters south of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St Symphorian, date from 1794 and 1822. The first tombchest is in memory of Mary, the wife of Robert Power, who died in 1794. It is made of slate rubble and features a wide rectangular slate lid, with an inscription in a panel that has a nowy head. The second tombchest, adjacent to the south, commemorates Robert Power, who died in 1822. This chest is also made of slate rubble and has a rectangular slate lid. Both tombchests are inscribed with upper and lower case lettering that includes serifs.
