Description

A warehouse, built in the mid-19th century in East Looe. It is now partly converted into flats. The building is constructed of rubble walls with brick segmental arches, and has a dry slate roof with deep projecting eaves. It has a large rectangular plan and is now subdivided. The original design incorporated a seven-window range over a basement and three storeys. Remaining original windows include six-pane hopper windows to three ground floor openings, with other windows replaced in the 20th century. Basement and ground floor openings at the three bays on the left-hand side have been combined into doorways, with overlights above two of them. The rear elevation has similar openings and spacing. A wide doorway was cut into the left side in the 20th century. The interior features heavy cross beams on the ground floor. The building is included on the list for its group value.
