Description

Grand-pa's Cottage, located at No. 2 Lower Chapel Street in East Looe, is a pair of town houses that likely date back to the 17th century. The exterior features incised stucco on a rubble base and is topped with a steep asbestos slate roof, with a brick chimney stack on the right side. The houses have a shallow-depth plan and stand three storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical two-window front with a central pair of doorways. The windows are early 19th century hornless sashes with glazing bars, with shorter sashes on the second floor. No. 2 has a 20th-century glazed door, while No. 3 features a 19th-century four-panel door with later glazed top panels. The interior has not been inspected.
