Description

Little Gannet is a town house located on Lower Chapel Street in East Looe, dating from 1650 as indicated by the render. The building features a combination of rendered rubble and studwork, topped with a steep asbestos slate roof that has a 20th-century dormer on the right side. It has a shallow-depth plan and stands three storeys tall, with an overall three-window range that is slightly irregular. The windows and glazed doors are from the 20th century. There are two doorways centrally located on the main part of the house, with the right-hand doorway being taller, likely modified later. A wide opening, or passage, is situated on the right. Inside, the house has ceiling joists made of oak, which date from the 17th or early 18th century.
