Description
Badger Run, located about 15 metres southeast of Delancy, is a late 19th-century structure made of wrought iron. It has a circular plan and features a tunnel entrance at the front. The design allowed for a badger to be placed in the run while a dog was sent up the tunnel, which is approximately 25 metres long. The wrought iron cage has a conical top, with hinged doors on the slope at both the front and rear, as well as a trap door on the side. The tunnel is covered with slate. This badger run was historically used for training dogs in badger-baiting.
