Description
The Ship Inn is a public house built around 1800 to 1810. It features painted rubble with granite dressings and has a fairly steep concrete tile roof, with rendered end stacks and a front lateral stack on the left side. The building has an irregular shallow-depth plan and stands two storeys over a basement, with an overall three-window range. The early 19th-century windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, arranged irregularly on the cranked front. There are granite steps leading up to a platform on the left side and a doorway. The right-hand return has a central doorway. Inside, the walls are exposed rubble, and there is a fireplace in the left-hand room.
