Description

Breage Cliff is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed with rendered probable rubble and featuring a half-hipped slate roof. It has a granite ashlar stack on the left and a rendered stack on the right. The building has a shallow-depth plan and consists of two storeys over a basement, with a symmetrical three-window front. The windows are late 19th or 20th century six-pane horned sashes, except for an original hornless sash located in the basement on the left. The central doorway is framed by a 20th-century gabled porch, which is situated on the landing of a double flight of granite winder steps, with the porch doorway positioned to the right.

The property includes subsidiary features such as rubble forecourt walls, with a curved wall on the left leading to a low front wall that has round-headed granite end piers and gate piers for the central gateway. There is also a tall wall adjoining the left side of the house, which has a doorway near the house and a Victorian letterbox built into it. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
