8/33 Garden walls immediately to south - east of Lower Calamansack Farmhouse

GV II

Garden boundary walls. Circa late C18 or early C19 shale rubble, the top sections of the south and west sides are built of cob, but the capping is missing. There is a doorway on the south side. The wall encloses a large rectangular garden on south facing sloping ground immediately in front of Lower Calamansack Farmhouse qv and Lower Calamansack Cottage qv, both of which have garden terraces qv in front. The walled garden was formerly an orchard.
