Description

This milestone, located in St Mewan, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is a painted granite monolith, approximately one metre high, featuring a rounded head. The milestone displays carved and painted lettering in sans-serif upper case, indicating the distances to St Austell and Truro, with the Roman numerals showing St Austell as 2½ miles away.
