Description

Sticker Methodist Church, built in 1876, is a Methodist church with an attached Sunday school. The building is constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings and features a slate roof adorned with crested ridge tiles and gable ends. The church has a single auditorium layout, with the entrance located at the front gable end and the ritual east at the rear gable end, where the Sunday school is attached.

On the exterior, the front gable end features a chamfered plinth and central 20th-century double doors made of planks, topped with a fanlight and a round stone arch that includes imposts and a keystone. Flanking the entrance are two tall round-arched windows, each with ten panes, keystones, a cill band course, and a band course at the impost level. Above, there is a third band course that includes a central round-arched recess with imposts and a keystone, which holds an inset slate tablet inscribed with "WESLEYAN METHODIST CHURCH 1876."

The right and left sides of the church each have three tall late 19th-century eight-pane sash windows, which are topped with segmental brick arches and brick jambs. The rear of the building features a small single-storey Sunday school that is attached, which has a 20th-century plank door with a segmental brick arch and a 19th-century eight-pane sash window with a segmental brick arch on the right side. There is also a 20th-century single-storey addition on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
