Description

This is an early 19th-century townhouse, later adapted as a shop with living space above. The building is stuccoed with a later textured finish, topped by an asbestos slate roof. It has a brick chimney on the right and a rendered chimney to the left and rear, with cast-iron ogee gutters on the left return and rear. The building follows a double-depth plan and rises three storeys, with a two-window façade. It features a 19th-century shop front with wooden pilasters, a panelled door, and the original entablature and fascia. The first floor contains original 16-pane hornless sash windows within moulded wooden architraves. Above them are horned sash windows that are replacements. The interior was not inspected. This property holds group value due to its contribution to the streetscape.
