Description
This is a 17th-century threshing barn located 10 meters southwest of Tencreek, now used as a milking parlour. It features a 20th-century concrete blockwork extension on the left side of the northeast front and a corrugated roof over an open lean-to at the front. The barn is constructed from rubblestone and has a steeply pitched slate roof with gable ends. It has a rectangular shape with opposing double doors. The structure is single storey, with a large entrance to the left of center that has a rectangular timber frame and an intact timber shouldered arch with slightly curved feet. There are projecting rubblestone piers flanking the entrance, a rectangular opening to the left, and a rectangular slit with a door to the right near the gable end. Rubblestone steps lead to an upper door in the right-hand gable end. At the rear, there is a plain rectangular frame with double doors leading to the opposing entrance. Inside, the barn retains its original collar rafter roof, featuring slightly cambered collars.
