Description
This early 19th-century townhouse was built on a 17th-century site in Penryn. The front of the building has rendered walls over rubble, a dry slate roof, probable rear stacks, and a cast-iron ogee gutter. It follows a double-depth plan, incorporating a rear outshut and stair wing. The building is two stories high with a two-window facade. It has 20th-century sixteen-pane horned sash windows, a 20th-century shop front that replicates an early 19th-century design on the left side, and a round-arched dressed granite opening, originally a through-passage, serving as the doorway on the right. The interior remains unexamined.
