Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb and ledger stone located in the churchyard about 20 metres southeast of the south aisle of the Church of St Clarus. The chest tomb is made of slatestone rubble and features a heavy granite lid with a moulded edge. The inscription on the top of the lid is illegible. The ledger stone is a granite monolith with an inscription carved in upper case lettering with serifs, though the dedication is also illegible.
