Description
This building, located approximately 3 meters northeast of the Shipwrights Arms Public House, is an outbuilding that may have originally served as a fish cellar. It is now a detached part of the public house and includes an adjoining wall. The structure likely dates from the early 19th century and features painted rubble and cob walls, along with a scantle slate roof with gable ends. It consists of a single cell over a basement. The south wall has a 6-pane horned sash window towards the right, situated above a boarded basement window. The west gable end contains an original 16-pane hornless sash window on the left and a doorway on the right, which has a 20th-century ledged door. The interior has not been inspected. The adjoining wall at the northeast corner is made of painted rubble and cob, topped with scantle slate and clay ridge tile coping.
