Description
The Wickell Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 8 metres northeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Germanus. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a nowy head with a finely carved primitive cherub's head with wings at the top. The monument includes well-crafted lettering that presents verses and an inscription dedicated to Thomas Wickell, who passed away in 1749.
