Description
This is a group of nine chest tombs dedicated to the Pearse family, located about 3 metres southeast of the Church of St Neot. The tombs date from 1838 to 1892 and are made of brick and slate. There is a row of eight tombs, with one additional tomb immediately to the west. These low, coffin-shaped brick chests have slate lids that feature scratch mouldings. Among the group, three of the tombs are half-size and commemorate children. Some of the chests include a small rectangular slate at the front, inscribed with the initials of the deceased.
