Description
Downs Barton is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings, capped by a slate roof with gabled ends. Brick chimneys are located on the gable ends, with an additional chimney on the left gable end facing the front. The house follows a double-depth plan. The symmetrical front facade has three bays and includes a panelled front door with a rectangular fanlight, now protected by a 20th-century glazed porch. The ground floor has two hornless sash windows, and the first floor has three. Each sash window contains eight panes above eight panes. The interior remains uninspected.
