Description
The garden walls, gate piers, and gates located south of Trebarfoote Manor are likely from the 18th century, with the gate piers also dating to the 18th century and the wrought iron gates from the 20th century. The walls are constructed from stone rubble and vary in height, with the eastern section incorporating parts of derelict outbuildings. The freestone gate piers are rectangular in shape, featuring moulded cornices and topped with ball finials. The pair of wrought iron carriage gates is designed in the style of the 17th century, with intermediate verticals positioned below the dograil and adorned with elaborate cresting of scrolled iron leaves.
