Description
The Grey House is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with dressed quoins and an ashlar plinth, topped with a stone slate roof and flanked by brick chimneys, one of which was rebuilt in the 20th century. The building has two storeys and four bays. On the ground floor, there are two boxed four-pane sash windows, with the one on the right in an altered opening. The upper storey features boxed three-pane sash windows, with the third bay having a blocked window. There is a 20th-century door with a rectangular fanlight and two stone steps located in the second bay, and a passage entry to the right. All openings are framed with dressed stone jambs and wooden lintels.
