Description

Tremore Bridge is a bridge over the River Ruthen, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed of granite and features two spans with flat granite lintels. On the upstream side, there is a central triangular cutwater, while the downstream side has a truncated cutwater that serves as a buttress. The bridge measures approximately 4 metres wide and about 7 metres long. Each side is equipped with a low concrete parapet and three roughly hewn granite piers, which stand about 90 centimetres high, topped with 20th-century cast iron railings. Tremore Bridge carries the old road from Bodmin to Padstow, leading to Ruthern Bridge.
