Description
The brick kiln and chimney located southwest of Carkeet Farmhouse is a late 19th-century structure. The kiln has a circular beehive shape and features red brick dressings. Although the dome of the roof is missing, it has inspection and loading arches around its walls, along with a tall round-headed doorway on one side. The chimney is square in plan and does not taper. It includes an inspection arch at the base and a cornice, constructed from white brick with a decorative diaper pattern in red brick.
