Warehouses. Late C18/early C19. Killas rubble walls, brick arches, some timber lintels of reused ships' timbers; corrugated asbestos roofs; brick chimney over left-hand gable end. 2 adjoining rectangular warehouses end-to-end. 2 storey 4-window range warehouse on the left, and 2-storey plus attic 5-window range C18 warehouse on the right. 4-window front has doorway with old panelled door, towards the right, otherwise openings have C20 windows or are boarded-up; heightened first floor is rendered; windows are old 12-pane casements. Other front has ground floor openings boarded-over except for C20 window on left; first-floor windows are old 8-pane 2-light casements. Loading doorway, with hoist, over left-hand window, 2nd floor otherwise blind. INTERIOR not inspected. Shown on plan of c1815. The loading end of the left-hand warehouse abuts onto what used to be nearly the navigable extent of the River Kenwyn later to be named Lemon Quay. Included for their group value with the Lemon Street development and for their historical interest in illustrating the commercial activity of Late Georgian Truro.
