Description

This is a late 19th-century blacksmith's shop located in the centre of the small village of Boyton. The building is constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings and has a rag slate roof with hipped ends and a series of raised ridge tiles that form ventilated louvres. The plan is rectangular. The exterior is a single storey, featuring a wide entrance on the right side of the centre, and a 19th-century window with lapped glass. This blacksmith's shop is an increasingly rare survival and remains in use, primarily for the repair of agricultural machinery.
