ST ERME CHURCHTOWN SW 84 NW 7/96 Two Trethewy monuments in churchyard, approx 5m south of tower, church of St Hermes.

Two chest tombs. Late C18-early c19. Delabole slate ledger slabs raised on simple brick and stone plinths. From north (a) To Anthony Trethewy, died 1799, wife died 1805, son Anthony died 1801, and daughter Amy, died 1804. To south, (b) To Catherine Trethewy, died 1792. Included as excellent examples of slatecarving of the period.
