Description

The slipway and retaining wall to the harbour, located to the southwest of The Golden Lion Inn in Port Isaac, is likely from the 19th century. It features a stone rubble slipway that descends from a store beneath Pentus Wall, leading down to the beach of the harbour. The slipway is adjacent to a stone rubble wall that runs along the top of the beach and continues to the north, partly incorporating a natural rock outcrop. The wall at the far north has been rebuilt in the 20th century.
