Description
SOUTH PETHERWIN - SX38SW Bank barn, horse-engine house 2/16 and shippon immediately north east of Tredivett GV II Bank-barn, house-engine-house and shippon. Circa early C19 extended later in slate rubble. Dry slate half-hipped roof, shippon extension to right has gabled- ended roof. Rectangular. Bank barn with shippon on ground floor and built into bank at rear far rear access to barn above. At rear of left-hand end a polygonal house-engine house. At lower left hand end a later C19 shippon range with loft above. Exterior: 2 storey. Original bank barn has symmetrical south front. Shippon doorways to left and right with chamfered dressed slate arches. Wider doorway (possibly altered) at centre with large barn doorway above south slated canopy on timber cantilevers. Under the eaves 2 small ventilation slits. At rear to right a polygonal engine house with corniced slate roof. Interior: not inspected.
