Description
The building is a bank barn, horse-engine house, and shippon located immediately northeast of Tredivett, dating from the early 19th century and later extended. It is constructed of slate rubble with a dry slate half-hipped roof, while the shippon extension to the right features a gabled-ended roof. The structure is rectangular, with the bank barn housing the shippon on the ground floor, built into a bank at the rear for access to the barn above. At the rear of the left-hand end is a polygonal horse-engine house, and at the lower left-hand end is a later 19th-century shippon range with a loft above.
The exterior is two stories high, with the original bank barn displaying a symmetrical south front. There are shippon doorways to the left and right, featuring chamfered dressed slate arches. A wider doorway, which may have been altered, is located at the center, leading to a large barn doorway above a south-facing slated canopy supported by timber cantilevers. Under the eaves, there are two small ventilation slits. To the right at the rear is the polygonal engine house topped with a corniced slate roof. The interior has not been inspected.
